A landscape begins as a summary of the visible characteristics of a particular area, its forms, and how those forms integrate with other natural or artificially added features. This interweaving of the inner and outer brings the otherwise dynamic background of life to the fore. Therefore, at the transition from an intimate space to a public one, a map is generated – an elusive and changing topography that is difficult to reach by physically moving through the space. The work process itself is actually the recognition and discovery of the cartography of personal feelings. Hence, landscapes tend towards the abstract – the forms of reality have become metaphysical. The landscape is the totality of our existence with the coincidental reality of space.
